Read Care Instructions:
Check the care label on your scarf for any specific instructions or restrictions regarding washing.
Prepare the Washing Area:
Fill a basin or sink with cold water. Ensure there's enough water to submerge the foulard without overcrowding.
Select a Mild Detergent:
Choose a mild detergent specifically formulated for delicate fabrics. This helps preserve the quality of the foulard.
Add Detergent to Water:
Add a small amount of the mild detergent to the cold water in the basin.
Submerge the Foulard:
Place the foulard into the soapy water, making sure it is fully submerged. Gently press it down to allow the soapy water to penetrate.
Gently Agitate:
Swirl the water gently without wringing or twisting the foulard. Use your hands to agitate the water and clean the fabric.
Rinse Thoroughly:
Drain the soapy water and refill the basin with clean, cold water. Rinse the foulard thoroughly by gently agitating it in the clean water. Repeat until all detergent is washed out.
Press Out Excess Water:
Carefully press the foulard to remove excess water. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric, as this can cause damage.
Towel Dry:
Lay a clean, dry towel flat on a surface. Place the foulard on the towel and roll them together. Gently press to absorb additional water.
Reshape and Air Dry:
Lay the foulard flat on another clean, dry towel, reshaping it if necessary. Allow it to air dry completely.
Final Check:
Once the foulard is dry, check for any wrinkles. If needed, you can lightly steam or iron it on a low setting according to the care instructions.
Always refer to the care instructions provided with the foulard for specific guidance and to ensure the longevity of the product.
